TIPS TO SCORE MORE IN SCIENCE

TIPS TO SCORE MORE IN SCIENCE

  • Read the chapter / concept for more than once (At least three times).  You may not understand all the words at the first time, but you can learn few words which will help you to proceed.
  • Do not try to memorize all the things (Just don’t by heart everything).
  • Read the chapter / concept before the classroom discussion.
  • Observe the solved sets of numerical.
  • Try to develop your logic and imagination either by observing the demonstrations or by performing the things practically.
  • In case of physics/chemistry try to remember the definition or statement of law with the help of formulae (if any)e.g. Statement of the Ohm’s law can be remembered with the help of the formula R=V/I
  • While learning biology, practice the drawing of important figures. If you memorize the figure perfectly, you can describe /expand your answer. e.g. structure of flower can be written with the help of diagram.
  • Don’t be fully dependent on your tutor/school/coaching class. As the subject science is boundless, you have to search the web, blogs, magazines and youtube too. It will help you for mastering new things and searching the secrets in science.
  • Discuss the difficult concepts with your peers. They might be having the easy method to understand the concept.
  • While learning the concepts in classroom/attending the online lectures, try to mention the important points in notebook. This may be used as the micro notes during the periods of exams.
  • While solving the numerical, first focus on the given data then try to map the correct formula in which the given data fits and then calculate accurately to find answer.

Why students feel science difficult?

Why students feel science difficult?

  • Let me clear that no any subject is difficult or hard or even boring, Its our perception and interest which make it hard/boring
  • First of all, it depends on the student’s perception, ability, interest and mentality.  Let’s have an example.
  • Physics is easy for those students who are good in mathematics but at the same time they might feel chemistry difficult as they are lacking in lab work, chemical reactions. They might feel biology difficult as it involves huge vocabulary and memorization of concepts.
  • Those students, who love lab work and chemical reactions, feel chemistry easy but they might feel physics difficult as they are poor in basics of maths, formulae, numerical and derivations. They might feel biology difficult as it involves huge vocabulary and memorization of concepts.
  • Learners who love nature and can memorize huge vocabulary and facts may feel biology easy but at the same time they might feel other subject hard.
  • Students may be struggling with the meaning of scientific words/vocabulary.
  • They may be practicing the wrong method of learning Science.
  • They may be lacking in the lab work and demonstrations.
  • They may be missing the precise study material.
  • Students may be trying to by heart the laws, definitions and theories in Science.
